Can't delete Time Machine image

Hi,

I use my unit to backup a range of computers throught Time Machine. Each computer gets its own .sparseimage file on the Live device.

The problem is that I cannot delete one of these image files. I mount the share in the Finder on my computer using the admin account on the Live device. I move the file to the Trash (on the computer) and get the usual warning about the file being erased immediately instead of moved to the Trash. Fine, click OK. And then I get the Erasing progress bar forever. I’ve left it running for 6 hours. I’ve tried deleting through Terminal instead of Finder. No go.

I have tried both with Time Machine diabled on the Live device and enable. No difference.

Any ideas?

This may be related to the other problem of the device being insanely slow since the latest firmware update.

I’m thinking I will have to reset the device and start over.
