Blue Caviar failed or failing

Hello,

I have a WD Blue Caviar 1tb drive that just one day failed, I think. I’ve tried using another sata port, but no luck so far. I’ve tried formatting it, I’ve used a program that would check my hard drives, but the Blue Caviar isn’t read by it. 

The blue caviar stopped working after a windows update. When I try to format it, it drags my computer to a crawl. I have now removed the drive because I have no idea what’s going on with it. I can’t access my files when it is connected. 

What should I do now?

Hi as long as you bought the drive and it did not come with a PC it has a 2 year warranty.If  you go here you can check the warranty status and then start the RMA .  http://support.wdc.com/warranty/  .
