"Your Firmware is up to Date" using MyBookLive version 01.05.07

[Deleted] update the firmware on this thing? I’ve tried the UI and it does not update, it only returns “Your Firmware is up to Date” when clearly it is not. I’m running 1.05.07 and if you can tell me WHERE to download the firmware update FILE I would appreciate it. Please don’t tell me to update the firmware using the local web UI to do so. I’m about to explode after trying in vain (unsuccessfully) to find a solution to this seemingly SIMPLE task on your website. Another fail…

HELP! I’d like to use the device I bought from you. I really don’t want to buy a competitor’s solution, so if your will work, show me how please.

I would highly recommend enabling SSH before attempting to upgrade from such an early firmware

This can help in the event that the firmware upgrade goes terribly wrong

In a web-browser go to http://mybooklive/UI/ssh and you should see the following. Tick SSH Access Enable

I don’t know if this is still the case, but they were pretty specific about updating to the last of the 01 firwares (which I think you might be) and then updating to the first of the 2.0 firmwares.  Then to the latest.  Maybe you can go from 1.05.07 to the latest?

I am still two back and everything is running great. 2.10 or 2.11 i think.
