New computer, retrieved entire back from old computer onto new computer. Retrieve was successful (90,000+ files) EXCEPT that I can not open any of them. I get the message that I don’t have access privilages. I am signed in with Administrator privilages.
I can change my privilages by going into Properties > Security > Advanced > Advanced secuity settings and taking ownership of the document. Then I can open it. But I’m not doing this for every file–I have thousands.

How can I change the authority at a global level so I can open all files?

Is there a setting in my WD back up software that caused this to happen? How do I set it differently?

Why is there no other discussion of this in the forum? Or is it just me?
