Wireless Networking of a 2TB Western Digital hard drive to a series of mac's

Hello all, i have recently bought a 2TB HD and would appreciate it if anyone would like to take the time to explain the procedure behind setting up the HD so that a series of mac’s are able to read and write from it. There are aound 12 mac’s in total in various rooms ( a small office). I thought about attaching it to the wireless router but i dont want to do this in case it is wrong and I mess up the wireless internet etc to all the mac’s. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help,
