Could we connect wd tv live to windows 7 directly as a remote wireless device (point to point)?
As wireless ad-hoc connection, is it supported?
As a wireless remote device (pairing code) the wdtvlive does not appear as a wireless device in windows 7 (see manual for step by step configuration). Is there any special configuration for the windows domain, firewall and son on for discovering the wireless wdtvlive or special manual configuration in wdtvlive as the IP or other parameter ?
I’m confuse here, what are you trying to do here? The WD TV should show in your computer as a shared device, or at least once you connect a drive to the device.
I have no problem with wireless connection with an AP. The wdtvlive associate perfectly with the AP and remotely access via web or as a shared resource to the device.
But without an Access Point, is it possible to access to the WdTvLive directly as an ad-hoc wireless network?
