I have a 1 T My Book Essential, the software for the PC begins and then it says that it has encountered a problem…Do I want to send an error report? I have deleted the software on the PC …shut the system down, disconnected power to the external drive, connect power, then the USB…recognizes it…then …it begins loading and then states that it has encountered a problem. I deleted the software many times… No joy. Thank you for your assistance
If you are trying to install the smartware version that came with the my book, download the latest version to see if you have better luck with that one. :wink:
