Windows XP only sees 1 TB of my 2 TB Green HDD

I recently bought a WD Caviar Green 2 TB HDD. When I formated and installed Windows XP Professional on it, the BIOS’s only see it as a 1 TB drive. I thought Windows XP could use up to 2 TB. How can I get the full use of my hard drive?

Note: I formated it with the NTFS quick formate option…

Hi well Bios and windows are 2 different things if your bios only sees 1 tb windows will only see 1 tb, check and see if there is a bios update for your motherboard. Also if you are using windows xp and the drive is advanced format you have to use the WD align utility. If you want more help lease post your system specs ie motherboard make or if it is a prebuilt from like hp post the model number of the system. Green drives are not suggested for a system boot drive although they can be used, they are slow.
