I have windows files backed up on my WD. I would like to download the files to my MacBook. How is this possible?

Hello,
We would like to inform you that the WD external drives come pre-formatted in the NTFS file system which is supported by windows and in order to use it on a Mac OS you will have to reformat the drive in HFS+ or exfat which is a data destructive process. So we would like to inform you to backup all of your data before formatting the drive.
