Windows File System Attribute Bits Not Implemented?

Fairly new EX4, firmware 1.05.30.

I made use of the Archive bit in my batch file to copy only modified files from the Seagate Business NAS to local storage as backup.  I discovered sadly that on the EX4, the Archive bit in files are apparently not implemented.  If you set one, and come back later, it is reset.  The same holds true for the Hidden and Read-Only attribute bits.

This is not a problem with the WD MyBook Live.

Is this due to something I did in setting up, or is this a ‘feature’ of the EX4?
