The subject says it all. If you try to set an attribute bit on a file stored on the EX4, it appears to work, but when you come back to display the attribute bit, it did not get set. I think this is a very important issue, because the Archve attribute bit is often used in backup procedures.

I assume that you mean the “archive bit”. The NAS (EX4 and most others) don’t run a Windows file system, but a Linux one (ext4). Also, most backup programmes don’t use this, but use the file timestamp.
