I have a 500 GB (Western Digital My Passport Essential Portable Hard Drive) and i made 4 partition and used it for a one year. Recently i tried to copy a large file to one of that parition with a Folder Comparison Software, i stopped copy process because i have not enough time, then i closed Software and turned off computer. After that each time i try to plug external Hard Drive to my PC i receied a message “Windows was unable to save all the data for the file H:$Mft. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.” without permit to access partitions, what is problem? and how can to solve it?
If you connect the hard drive to another computer do you get the same message?
Yes, i got same message when connect to another computer.
