Windows 8 Media Player and WD NAS

Hi All

I have a Windows 8 system and a Windows 7 system, on the 7 system Windows Media Player will share the files from the NAS to DLNA devices fine, the same setup pointing to the same files on the 8 device is not working.

I know this is most likely a MS issue but wanted to see if anyone had managed to get it working for them using the Media Player’s built in DLNA server.

I don’t like the twonky server that the NAS comes with as it doesn’t allow me to pause the files and regularly crashes.

I downloaded the new firmware and enabled the new DLNA player, but the issues remain.
