Hello i just bought a new Inspiron15R and have a 3tb my book. laptop is running on windows 8 and i can not get my external hard drive to read… I know the hard drive works great on my freinds computer and my samsung bluray player even plays the movies on it. If anyone knows the reapir for the issue and can help give me step by step instructon to fix this for i am not the greatest with these devicesthat would be very appreicated thank you.
Is your external disk drive not detected within the Computer section of Microsoft Windows 8? If so, have you tried changing the USB ports or the USB 3.0 cable to a USB 2.0 cable in order to confirm if it is a drivers issue?
