- Windows 7 Pro SP1
- WD MyBook 3 TB
When i ran the “Fsutil fsinfo ntfsinfo” i see:
Bytes Per Sector : 4096
Bytes Per Physical Sector : 4096
Bytes Per Cluster : 4096
Bytes Per FileRecord Segment : 4096
So this appears to be an AFD disk using a 4k native format.
It seems that windows 7 doesn’t support 4KB logical sector sizes -
based on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982018 and http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-AU/itprovistaapps/thread/7b64e871-71be-4c5d-a4a3-502744da978b
How can i reformat the drive to comply with the logical sector size limits that windows imposes?
thank you
