I cannot start a back up following the recent Windows 10 update. When I select ‘back up now’ nothing happens and I cannot open the settings either???

Are you using WD SmartWare or WD Backup with your WD Passport Wireless? On either case I’d recommend uninstalling the application and starting over. The backup process should resume operation.
