I’ve some problems viewing JPG image delivered through the DLNA server of my Buffalo NAS Link Station DUO.
I have a LS-WXL DUO recently updated to 1.62 firmware
I have also:
WD WINTV LIVE HD just updated to 1.06.34_V firmware
LG BD 390 with firmware version BD.8.08.557.B
SONY TV KDL-46Z4500
In LS-WXL DUO I’ve a DLNA folders with many many subfolder, some with JPG file (many) , some with films ecc…
SONY TV shows all JPG file
LG seems to process only JPG file that are smaller then about 4200KB, the others shows a big “?” image (but if I use USB port it shows also these files)
WD shows only some JPG with it’s correct resolution, all others are shown like a small icon, e.g. with smallest resolution and the dimension in terms of pixel number is wrong. Also in this case if I use USB port, WD shows JPG correctly.
I don’t know when e why but some month ago all works fine from LG and WD client.
I have exactly the same problem displaying full size photos off the server.

Just purchased WD TV Live. Firmware updated to 1.12.14
Video ok
Music ok
Photos come up on the WD TV Live as thumbnails. NOT there full size
I have other DNLA clients that all display photos off the server correctly…
IPad displays photos correctly
Windows PC media player ok
IPhone ok
Nokia E 72 OK
I have exactly the same problem with my Linkstation LS-XLB80 (latest firmware 1.63). New (today 18th Feb 2013) WD TV Live updated to 1.13.18 after power on.
My TV is a Sony KDL-46HX853 and it can display the photos perfectly.
A typical image is just 2.8Mb (as displayed by options with the image displayed) but view info shows a 6kb image of size 160x120.
Viewing the same images from a USB memory stick works fine.
Some smaller photos (less than 1mb) display OK.
Have tried powering the TV Live on and off and restarting the DNLA.
Would be grateful if you could look into this with some urgency.
