Will firmware update deletes all files and remove partitions in the drive?

I see WD (Windows®) Universal Firmware UpdaterRelease Notes for v3.2.0.8C and I can’t find any info about Firmware 2.018 in the list of all past firmware information. I need to know what is with my current firmware and if it is necessary for me to go to firmware update. I have not encountered any issues yet with my existing firmware.

If you are not having problems with the drive I wouldn’t do the firmware updates, I don’t. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
