Will 6 GB/sec WD1002FAEX Drive Work On My ASUS M3A78-EM Motherboard

Motherboard SATA ports are 3 GB/sec. Will subject drive be backward compatible? Will a jumper be necessary?

it will work with sataII and sataIII

it may require a jumper if it is not detected correctly (or if you have any issues)

though i have used this drive on a dell core2duo (i975x chipset, sataII / 3.0gb/s) and i7 (p55 chipset, marvel sataIII / 6gb/s) without a problem
