Wifi or only cable ? Exploring my options

Just setting up my cloud home, however, I have difficulty finding this piece of information documented anywhere.

I thought that the My Cloud Home requires the cable connected to the router only at the setup phase, and later it should connect to my router through wifi. Is this doable ?

It seems that its not.

The My Cloud Home does not have a WiFi connect capabilities.
It must remain connected to the network router using the network cable.
