WiFi connection on mobile

I cannot access mypassport wireless pro to the Wi-Fi on my mobile phone (HTC One). It doesn’t appear in the available networks. Can someone please help. Look forward to a response. Thank you.

To get wifi connection in your mobile phone, First of all, Open the Settings app. It’s found in the apps drawer, but you’ll also find a shortcut in the quick actions drawer. Choose Wi-Fi or Wireless & Networks., then Choose a wireless network from the list., If prompted, type the network password. and the last but not the least Touch the Connect button.https://www.routertechnicalsupportnumbers.com/netgear-router-support/

How can i choose one if it doesn’t show on the available list of networks?
am i missing something…
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

If you still experience that, take a look at router-reset.com as it feels like you have connection issues with your router. Maybe you have MAC address only connection or blocked your phone in any other way tho.
