this thing is fairly new, didn’t like high Sierra, doesn’t like Catalina. Makes noises/grinding though never been jostled. I can spend half an hour trying to eject, re-mounting, maybe I’ll get to my files. Sorry - this isn’t a tech question I guess it’s more a whine about how shoddy this product seems to be. I’d had several WD external drives in the past - this one is a fail. Let me pry my data off of it and buy a different brand.
