When I open WD Smartware, it says my drive is locked and it wants a password. Problem is…i did not lock the drive, nor did I create a password. Is there a default password?
Hi, sorry dude there is no default password :confounded:, check if someone else locked the hard drive for you, on the same box where you enter the password, there should be a password hint. If that doesn’t work you have the option to enter any incorrect password 5 times to get the option to format the my book, this will of course delete anything that you have saved.
