Why is creating an Advanced RMA on the support site such a disaster?

Why is creating an Advanced RMA on the support site such a disaster? I can’t create an advanced RMA on the support website, I can’t create an advanced RMA over the phone. So how does one actually get an advanced RMA created and have the product shipped? It’s ridiculous that a company as large as WD continuously screws this up.

Will I have any luck getting my NAS replaced?
