I’m looking for a device that will do the following. I want to be able to put ten video files–avi, mkv, or mp4–in a folder and be able to select and play them from the device’s remote. I don’t care if the folder is on the device or on a network drive. If a single remote can also control power, channel changing and input select on my Sharp Aquos TV, that would be great!
Just TEN? You can do this with the Live, Live + or HUB. With the LIve & Live + you’ll need a external drive or network drive, the HUB has it’s own drive, but it will access network shares also.
As for a remote to control everything, you’ll need a universal remote (a learning remote would be the best), something like a Harmony remote.
