Where to find FAT32 formatting files?

I’ve just purchased a My Passport Essential drive on the advice that it can be formatted to serve both Mac’s and PC’s. I regularly work on large files on both platforms and want one location for them. I have also read about the reformatting to FAT32 to facilitate this process but can’t find the driver files. If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

Works on XP, not sure about Vista and Win7.

Does re formatting, so the drive is compatible with both Windows and Mac work well? I see WD does not recommend this.
