Where is the overwrite files confirmation screen? My storage is only duplicating files

Hello friends,

Whenever i try to upload a file from my computer to mycloud OS5 (using Chrome) the existing files on mycloud are not being overwritten. The files are been copied with a _1 in the end and I want that files are overwrited. The older Mycloud software did have a confirmation screen asking me to overwrite or not the existing files. How can I turn this option on again on MyCloud OS5?

My Cloud OS 5 does not work the same as My Cloud OS 3. Uploaded files using client apps (mobile or web) does not prompt the user or overwrite existing content.

Not to be snotty. . . but who would want uploading to work that way?

Consider that you have to download files to modify them. . .you can’t replace the original file with the modified file when you are done?

There are MANY more use cases for these tools than merely looking at pictures. I would suggest that this is a “feature” that partially nullifies he usefulness of the WD apps.
