i have tried tons of times WD firmware updater 3.1.0.11 but always telling me internet connection failed! where i could direclty download the newest firmware for my book essential USB3.0?

If the drive is working without any problems forget the firmware updates. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I don’t run them.
