When to pull power plug for firmware update 1.03.41

The firmware update 1.03.41 says to pull the power plug wait 5 seconds then power on, but I was not sure when to do this so I did the following.  Is this correct?:

Updated the firmware from the dashboard which rebooted the EX4 server as well.

From the dashboard did a shutdown of the EX4.

Unplugged power cord and waited 5 seconds, then plugged back in.

Powered up the EX4.
