I want to back up my laptop again. When I plug in My Passport, it shows up in My Computer but nothing happens. I have done searches online and looked through the manual but cannot figure out what is wrong.

When you did the initial backup, were you using the software that comes with the unit WD Smartware?
Are you able to open that software?
