What read/write and user roles to use?

Hi

I have just upgraded my western digital my cloud ex2 from an 6tb to an 8tb, but I am having troubles with the right user roles and permissions.

Some of my issues:

  1. On mac I can preview images with thumbnails on the NAS, but on my windows machine I cant preview any images.
  2. Im using Infuse on my Apple TV to stream movies/series and I use to have covers on all of them, but now I dont anymore.

I think is has something to do with the read/write permissions and user roles on the box and the file system, but I have tried a lot of different, without any effect.

So therefore, what are your EX2s setup regarding this?
What am I missing and doing wrong?
