I’m researching my next purchase, and the local store only seems to have the BUZ available - but is not listed on the website, having the MWV which seems to be same. If it matters, the store is in Russia.
Hi swampwiz. The two models are pretty much the same product, a My Passport Ultra. However, countries like Russia have regulations against encryption, so the WDBBUZ model is an "unencrypted’ version of the WDBMWV. The WDBBUZ doesn’t use any type of hardware encryption.
