Are “Amazon Technologies” fetching data through “wd2go.com” from my “mycloud X2”?

any one?

Though I do not know where you see that entry, I would hazard a guess that the relay servers used by wd2go.com are kept in an Amazon Web Services server farm. So it is likely WD doing a ping check to see if your EX2 is available. This would, I think be normal if you have enabled Cloud Access (I have not enabled the cloud feature so I cannot say for sure…I prefer using direct connect using SFTP from outside).

 I have not turned my cloud access on, nor do I have my port open when I am home :stuck_out_tongue:

this entry was from my router with openwrt installed, it shows that amazonaws has “transfered” more information than all the other connections :open_mouth: even torrents p2p aren’t close to that number isn’t that strange ? xDDD

I google a little around and people have the same “address” (amazonaws) fetching information on their webservers,

and why should Western Digital ping my NAS when I don’t use their option on cloud access :open_mouth:

anyway it vanished and now its back with new ports assigned to it :stuck_out_tongue:

I am just very curious
