What happens when drve is full?

Hello,

I’m using WD SmartWare and the icon currently displays 91% usage.

I’m wondering what will happen once the the disk is full.

Do I have to manually free up space on the drive, and how ?

Not recommended to manually free up space if doing backups with Smartware. This will result on duplicate or damaged backup. The only files you can remove will be files you manually added to the drive.  In the event you want to free up space from the Smartware backup then you’ll need to delete all files and start a backup again with Smartware.

You might be better off getting an additional drive to continue backing up your files, make sure you don’t keep multiple copies of the same file to avoid getting the drive full quickly with additional files you don’t need.
