As the title says, the latest version of the WD software utility says “attach a supported WD drive”. It is not sensing that the drive is connected although disk utility and Mac OS X 10.8.5 recognizes the drive just fine. It doesn’t bother me that bad as it just happened recently, however, this was the software I setup the RADI 1 slice with so it seems it should recginize its own brand, correct?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the software to see if this will make it work properly.
No, it doesn’t. I’m thinking this has something to do with the latest 10.8.5 update for Mac OS X. Hopefully an update is coming to the utility. Something in the software is not sensing that a WD drive is connected. (The firmware update utility doesn’t recognize it either. Might be some sort of thunderbolt hidden feature)

WD Drive utility is broken with 10.8.5 and even Mavericks. I’m glad this is being looked at.
