Hi to all,
How do I stop my external drive hijacking the boot sequence? I would like to set legacy usb devices to enabled because I use a usb keyboard (G19) but if I do the external drive will crash the boot sequence. As an example I wanted to restore my SSD boot drive from a backup but whatever I set the boot sequence to in bios, with legacy usb enabled the WD took over, making it impossible to continue; no boot device present. If I disable legacy usb I cannot use my keyboard.
And then there is always the dreaded 15 second wait while the WD thinks about itself and reflects upon its life as an external hard drive, what sort of legacy it’s gonna leave, if legacy usb is enabled.
Any help would be gratefully received.
