I bought 2 of these for a Raid 1 enclosure, put them in there, and they werent mounting. So I’ve put them inside my mac pro, and now they’re both mounting fine. My plan is to format them to mac os journaled, and put them back in the enclosure and try again.
I’ve managed to format the first one, it froze at about 50% the first time, but after a restart, it formatted it in a matter of minutes.
But the second one repeatedly gets stuck at about 50%, ive tried four or five times now, the longest leaving it for 12 hours. It also seems to be making a slight ‘tick’ sound every now and then. Does it sound like I’ve got a faulty drive?
