Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 32MB Cache WD10EALX - dissapearing

Bios sees my 2 hdd (ssd and hdd), when pc boots to windows on My Computer also are 2 drives but after some time (sometimes 5 min, sometimes 20 min) windows is loosing drive (mean hdd). Basically I can’t see my 1TB hdd on My Computer because getting missing. Also when that hdd is connected Windows is loading very slowly (about 3 mins which is not acceptable when os is installed on ssd) when I disconnected hdd, Windows is booting in 5 sec. Moreover when I put different hdd (from my old pc 250gb) I have no problems. Is that mean that hdd is faulty? I couldn’'t test that hdd with other tools because is getting missing very quickly

What if you download WD’s DLG from their site so you can test the drive for errors? Also, is the drive seen on the BIOS right away? if it is then it’s a Windows problem, also change the SATA port and put a jumper on pins 5&6 to force SATA II mode in case your MoBo is not SATA III and is forcing automatic SATA II mode.

what os are you running?
