Weird noise from MyBook500GB; not recognized (Video inside)

Hello,

My external stopped working yesterday. It was almost full and wothout realising, I started extracting an archive.  It got completely full, winrar said “not enough space” and then the drive just disappeared from My Computer. After a research I read that I should uninstall it from Device Manager and restart. It worked!!! So I started quickly moving my data to a healthy drive, but few minutes later, during copiyng it said “Cyclic secondary error” (or something like that) but this time it got lost for good. Nothing happens after uninstalling it and restarting. Its not in My Computer anymore, I can see it in Device manager as “WD” but with no letter or any other info. After plugging in it started making weird noise (instead of the regullar healthy buzzing) You can hear it in the video bellow, at 0:06 (ignore the rhythmic knocking)

Can anyone help me so I can make it work again? Or at least to save my data? :frowning:

Thanks in advance!!

Sorry to hear you cannot access your files, if you can hear a clicking sound it is provable that the hard drive as physical damage. If you need to recover your data I recommend you to contact any of the data recovery companies on the WD support page, some of them offer a free evaluation of your drive.
