Weird network problem with WD TV live

Hi,

I have a WDTV live in a heterogenous network with several Win 7 Notebooks, a Windows 7 PC with 2 Virtual Machines (W2K and Linux). The Network share the WDTV shall access is on the Windows 7 PC.

Lately the WDTV began to see the W2K-VM only. This has happened once in a while for several years, but now it’s happening almost on every startup of the WDTV.

Only solution so far: turn off WDTV, shut down W2K-VM, start WDTV live, Choose Win 7 PC share and start the W2K-VM again.

Any hints on what is going on here? Any idea for a solution?

I tried to make the W2K-VM share my video and audio folders, but this wasn’t successful.

Any hint is greatly appreciated

Regards Umbi

I do not know if this may relate, but try to check if W2K-VM is something acting as the master browser of your entire network and taking priority over all other devices.

Regards,
