Good night.

I have problems with my WD MyCloud.
After the firmware upgrade 4.x, I can not access the NAS assistant. / UI.
I watched a little research in the Apache log:

Tras la actualizacion de Firmware 4.x, no puedo acceder al asistente de la NAS. /UI.

No. I have not installed applications. I just installed transmission but the firmware does not work. Uninstall transmission. What should I do?

Read the last part of the transmission guide message thread in this forum. You will need to reapply v4 firmware or downgrade to v3 firmware. Installing apps on v4 firmware breaks apache and WD UI.

I should add this needs to done via ssh.

Same problem for me also.

It seems that I’ve made apt get installs and lost webUI. In the same time I could not enable SSH to restore firmaware.

Is it possible to do something without open the drive and debrick it.

Any firmware V3 or V4 will break your cloud if you install anything that overwrites existing dependencies using apt-get. Worst still, with V4, your apt-get newly installed apps won’t work due to the new 64K page size memory patch. Even worst if it overwrites the existing dependencies, the cloud is good as paper weight. 

If you had ssh turned on earlier and somehow lose it after apt-get, most probably some of the sshd dependencies has been replaced.

If you have no ssh access than you need to open up the drive to dump a fresh rootfs image. It’s quite easy to accomplish. Search the forum, there’s few threads on this…
