WDTVLive WDBAAP0000NBK network problem

OS is W7 Ultimate.

My WDTVLive player is connected to my Bravia TV via HDMI cable.

It’s connected to an adjacent USB dock with an inserted hard drive from which I can play movies.

The player is also connected to my computer, via the modem\router. Cable is regular RJ45 LAN.

Problem: When viewing TV I can clearly see my computer and play movies from that source as well as from the USB dock.

But when I enter the network from my computer, and look back the other way, I can’t see my WDTVLive, even though its menu is set to share with the network.

Any ideas?

Hmmm. Think I tried this a coupla years ago. Just got a gobbledy-gook answer.

And now, of course, the player is one of those oh-so-oooold LEGACY devices.

Anyway, thanks for your response, I’ll try them again.
