I have a WDTV Live attached to a TP-Link WDR-3500 router. Also have an USB hard drive attached to the router and another USB hard drive attached to the WDTV Live.
The USB hard drive attached to the WDTV Live works with the WDTV Live. I can access both USB hard drives wireless from my computer.
How can I configure the WDTV Live to also directly access the USB hard drive attached to my router?
Any and all configuration is done on the server side while your WDTV only reads what is available to it. Check your router settings to confirm the sharing protocol it uses (SMB or NFS). Also double-check it’s under the same Workgroup as your WDTV.
