WDTV Live lowers my Bandwith 50% once powered off

I wonder since Days what this behave is.

If i Power on my Router ( AVM Fritzbox ) i have my usual Bandwith which is 16 MBIT.

If i then use the WDTV Live a while and power the WD Live off my Bandwith constantly stays at 50 % of my Bandwith which is then 8 Mbit

No matter if i Reboot my PC / Laptop whatever.

I have to unpower/Power  my Router to get the 50% Bandwith back.

Since i have other Network devices attached to my Router and do not experiance this behave with such i wonder what the WDTV is doing with my Network if it reserves 50% of the BW alltime.

I use WIn7 32 Bit

Nothing.  There’s nothing a WDTV *could* do to make your router behave that way.

There are advanced protocols that can do things like that (like RSVP or similar) but the WDTVs don’t use anything like that anyway.  

Sounds like the problem is in your router.
