WDTV HUB HDD does not spin down at power off!

Hi all…

Couple of days ago i’ve noticed that HDD inside the HUB does not stop spinning after i shut it off, so as the WD Element drive which is connected to the HUB via USB also does not shut down after HUB is turned off! Any ideas? Tried searching, nothing!

Your hub is not completely turned off, its on standby mode.

Press the power button for atleast 3 seconds to completely turn off the hub

Yes - with a slight press of the button the hub acts as a simple NAS, with a longer press (3 sec) you turn it off and save some power.
