WDSmartWare.exe - Bad Image

Hi there,

Has anyone struck this error recently? Any suggestions on remedy?

WDSmartWare.exe - Bad Image
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\clr.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0x000012f.

Periodic back using WD SmartWare (on Windows10) has been fine up until now.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled SmartWare, both from My Passport Ultra device and via the WD website (Version: 2.4.14). Applied the updates, Everything installs fine, but clicking to run SmartWare produces this error.

I have never had this come up and I have Windows 10 too on both of my computers. My Windows 10 is up to date with the latest version. See image below showing clr.dll.

My current version of Windows 10 is, Version 1511 OS Build 10586.104
