WDSmartware doesn't see network drives

I bought a p**bleep**port essential 1TB USB 2&3 drive.

It’s got the latest version of WD smartware 1.5.1.6 and the latest firmware updates

I’m running Windows XP Pro vwersion 2002 SP3

At work, I’ve installed all the above, but cannot see my network drives to back up?

Does WDSmartware not backup network drives?

That is a p a s s o r t  drive! Poor choice of product name if its going to get bleeped out every time!
