WDMYCLOUDEX2 file copy ends with "not connected to network"

Been trying to retrieve a drive backup of 20+ gig  every time I try to copy it to a usb disk via windows it fails with not connected to network … when clearly it is … also with drive copy utility desktop app same thing … file not copied this can happen if the file name has changed … how to get a full copy to work ?
