I am losing sanity with trying to backup my MyCloud device to another MyCloud device.
Scenario: It used to work to backup my WD MyCloud 4TB to another WD MyCloud 8TB dedicated only for this purpose.
Problem:
- Safepoint dissappeared from the safepoint menu list
- Recreating the backup to the same WD 8TBMycloud device impossible because the “Retrieving shares” action returns no shares.
It lists the WD 8TB MyCloud but when you do the “Retrieve shares” returns nothing when doing this request http://lan.ip.address/api/2.1/rest/share_discover?ip_addr=lan.ip.address&user=&pswd=&_=1638484894634
The HTTP response from that request is:
<error_code>401</error_code>
<http_status_code>401</http_status_code>
<error_id/>
<error_message>Request is not allowed</error_message>
The only noticeable difference is that he 8TB MyCloud device is now redirecting its UI to the IPv6 address, yet accessing the shares via IPv4 works without headaches.
Is this a cache problem? Is there a way to clear the problem via SSH?
