WDMyCloud not visiible in Windows Explorer

I use a Dell laptop to control my wifi network.

WDMyCloud network storage device has ceased being shown in Windows 10 Explorer, except as a Media Device.

I cannot see or access any of my “Smartware” files. Similarly it cannot access it by any programs.

Conversely, it appears as an hidden icon (lower right of taskbar). I can open it by the icon there as a workaround which then lets me use the files.

I can also get remote access of the “Public” files.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Have you rebooted your My Cloud? If Yes, then reboot your Router. See if that helps.

Thanks. Have rebooted drives. Can see them as separate items in list of files / folders in Windows Explorer. i.e.
SmartWare (\WDMyCloud)
TimeMachineBackup (\MyBookLive)

Can access them that way.

They don’t appear under the “Network” items, like they used to.
Would be good if they did, but at least I an access them.

Since both devices have disappeared, it sounds like an issue with a Windows 10 upgrade, rather than a WD problem.

IIRC, the last upgrade has a reputation for resetting firewall settings; I’d check those out.
